In November, three of our bands: P.K.14, Carsick Cars & Xiao He, toured the east coast of the United States. The tour was a success by all standards, and the media coverage has also been very good. Here are some press clippings of the tour:

Despite what CNN’s Emily Chang says, the tour seems to have gotten only a limited amount of buzz on music blogs (BrooklynVegan, VillageVoice, and Steve Smith Twitter feed are the ones that I saw). Nothing on Pitchfork – the indie rock crowd doesn’t know what to make of real rock and roll.

The PK14 videos from Powerhouse were terrific though. And the crowd at Santos looked quite enthusiastic. Good that Maybe Mars is giving these bands some proper promotion (who else is among the 24 bands supposedly signed? Rustic? Flying Midnight?)
